Plan Days Out

Weekends and school holidays are the perfect time to plan trips away. It could be as simple as exploring in the woods or visiting a museum. Trips are often one of those things that you have every intention of doing but for whatever reason, it can be put on the back-burner. Stop putting things off and go and a trip for a fun family day. If you have a child over the age of eight who enjoys a bit of adventure you might want to consider a Tank Driving experience day from a company such as  armourgeddon.co.uk/tank-driving-experience

Make Learning Fun

It’s no surprise that most children learn more when they are having fun, so try to think of ways your child will enjoy it. Messy science experiments using baking soda, vinegar, and food coloring, or even letting them help prepare their own personalized pizza, can help them learn about different food groups. It’s no wonder that homeschooling is becoming more popular with parents eager to teach their child in fun ways.

Make Your Home Fun

This could be something as simple as introducing bath crayons or as crazy as building a den equipped with individual rooms. Save the cardboard boxes to flatten and build a slide down the stairs, or make the most of your garden. You could even make a checklist and go on a mini beast hunt.

Do Something Unexpected

Make it a family tradition to do something out of the ordinary. It could include mystery trips, impromptu dance parties after bedtime or even just doing something simple like waving at anyone you see. You could expand on this by trying to do as many random acts of kindness as possible to show them the importance of being nice.

Work Which Feels Like Play

Although they often feel like one of the least fun activities to do, chores can be made into an activity that everyone wants to get involved in. Tidying up can be made into a scavenger hunt, or you can hold mini-competitions to see what can be done in a set amount of time, with the winner getting to pick their favorite meal for dinner.
